The enactment of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (New Criminal Code) brings substantial transformations to juvenile criminal justice and offenses in digital spaces. However, high school adolescents often have limited legal literacy regarding the criminal consequences of daily behaviors such as cyberbullying, electronic threats, and collective violence. This community service program aimed to enhance legal literacy among adolescents at SMA Negeri 11 Pekanbaru through contextual case studies and participatory education. The methods comprised interactive legal lecturing, group discussions, case study analyses of school violence and social media misconduct, legal pocketbook distribution, and question-and-answer sessions. A total of 56 participants, consisting of students, teachers, and university delegates, attended the outreach. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' legal consciousness regarding criminal responsibility age limits, child protection frameworks, digital footprint hazards under the ITE Law, and early anti-corruption values. The restorative justice mechanism was highlighted as an essential alternative to formal retributive punishment for juvenile offenders. In conclusion, structured legal outreach in high schools serves as a vital preventive instrument to foster law-abiding character and cultivate ethical digital behavior among youth in the New Criminal Code era.
